Beth L. Glenk, 76, died peacefully in her home, cared for by her loving husband of 36 years, Wayne. 

Beth is survived by Wayne, her brother Neil (Sandy) Harmon of Estero, Florida, her son Brett (Mary Frances) Linzer of Wales, WI, son Kyle Linzer of Albuquerque, NM, step-son Lee (Damian) Glenk active duty Air Force serving at RAF Lakenheath, England, step-daughter Darla (John) Burke of Twentynine Palms, California and nine grandchildren: Brian, Connor, Jessica, William “Zodi”, Jospeh, Anthony, Ashlee, Jacob and Jessica. 

Daily, Beth wore a necklace of a draped Christian cross that formed the shape of a Jewish Star of David. It came to represent a lifetime of paradox. When she spoke, it was evident she was born and raised in the rough borough of Flushing Queens, New York City. She could be sharp, abrasive and direct. Fellow New Yorkers have said “I like that Beth was a product of her childhood. She reminds me of home.”

At the age of 24, Beth moved with her first husband and young son to Los Angeles, CA. Beth developed an interest in investment, real estate and business. After her divorce, her ambition and drive propelled her to a successful career as a real estate agent. She set her sights on raising her two young sons in the quieter, cleaner environment of Lake Arrowhead, CA. Kyle and Brett remember her enthusiasm for every home, the lake and small businesses of Lake Arrowhead. Beth maintained her permanent residence there for the duration of her life. 

During this period, Beth professed herself a Christian, converting from her Jewish roots. Beth met Wayne at Parents without Partners and they were soon married. Wayne’s work as an electrician took him and Beth to Las Vegas, NV for some time, splitting their time between states. Beth continued investing in properties and planning deliberately for Wayne’s retirement. As a couple, they were devoted members of Calvary Church, traveled for pleasure, played bingo and enjoyed the companionship of their dogs. 

She was not formally educated, but pushed her sons toward advanced degrees. When they achieved, she proudly took credit for their success. 

Beth faced her mortality as she did life, directly and with clear intent. When her health took a turn for the worse these past few weeks, she stated she was looking forward to seeing Jesus and have him welcome her home.In her final weeks, she made peace with her life and her family. She will be missed for her charisma, devotion and faith in better days.
