Scott Newton Jones of Stockton, CA passed away at Dameron Hospital in Stockton, CA on 03/14/2023.

 

Scott was born in Detroit, MI at Grace Hospital on 04/04/1960 to Ralph Carlisle Jones and Barbara Jean Jones and grew up in Royal Oak, MI and Warren, MI.  He attended Warren Mott High School.  He most recently worked as Santa Claus at the mall in Stockton.  He enjoyed the children and adults who came for pictures.  He was a painter, a truck driver, and a security guard.  He was disabled a few years ago by complications of diabetes which caused the loss of his right lower limb.  That did not slow him down and he spent time caring for his mother and others.

 

He lived in Traverse City, MI for a while and enjoyed taking his boat out on the lake.  

 

Scott is survived by his sisters, Patricia Rocero (Roy Sr) and Debra Jones (Bod Zaluski); nephews Joe Zaluski, Jeremy Zaluski, step-nephews Wes Rocero, Roy Rocero Jr (Chao); niece Mela Peters (Rich), grand-niece, Arya Rocero Lor and grand-nephew just born on March 1st, Miles Samuel Peters (a REDHEAD like his uncle).   He was preceded in death by his father in 2001, nephew, John David Rocero in 2013, and his mother in 2022.  

 

He also has many cousins-Marcia, Dale, Terry, Muffie, Julie, John and their families, that will miss him.  Scott had many friends in Michigan and California that will miss him.
