Teresa A Norzagaray

October 15, 1964 - May 27, 2023

Teresa A. Norzagaray passed away May 27th, 2023 at the age of 58. She was born October 15, 1964 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, to the parents of Charles W. Ashworth and Gloria F. Ashworth. Beloved sister of Julia C. Ashworth-Sharpe, Elena M. Valdez, Carlos J. Ashworth, Gloria A. Almazán, Tom W. Ashworth, and Nannette A. Villarreal. Loving and proud mother of Vanessa Norzagaray-Espinosa and daughter in-law Stephanie Norzagaray-Espinosa. Adored by her nieces and nephews, and friend to many.
At the age of 8 she was brought to Tucson, Az by her parents. Graduated from Flowing Wells High School, in 1982, where she was a star softball pitcher and cheer captain.

She moved through the world with a contagious and bubbly personality. She was a natural leader in her many years at Dollar Rental Car and Hertz. Over the years, Teresa was grateful for cherished friendships. She shared her love through her cooking and loved nothing more than to cheer on her Wildcats.

Although she faced many struggles in life, she always found ways to bring smiles to everyone around her. She was a stunning woman inside and out. She will be profoundly missed.

A rosary service followed by a eulogy reading and concluding in a memorial mass will be held Monday, June 12th, 2023 at St. Augustine's Cathedral 192 S. Stone Ave. Tucson, Az 85701, beginning at 9:30am.

Please Celebrate Teresa’s colorful personality by wearing vibrant colors. Flower arrangements are gratefully appreciated and can be delivered to Saint Augustine Cathedral, 192 South Stone Avenue, Tucson AZ 85701.  Flower deliveries can be accepted up until 9:30am the day of the Mass.

Victoria Arnold Hey Teresa we had many fun times, playing softball and hanging out with Tom, Tim, Carlos, Gloria in the riverbed until my mom said she would come down and spank us for being down there. And you said “ she can’t spank me”, wrong! Lol One time we were walking back to my trailer and you saw one of my moms cigarette butts on the ground and you picked it up and act like you were smoking it. When we were older, You tried to use my id to get into the bar and you were not successful. My dad lovingly calling you “painted desert” cause of your eye makeup. But you looked great. I love you and I’ll miss you. Glad we talked in January for one last time. Tell my mom and dad I said hi and I love them.
