Robert “Bob” L. Davis

Robert Davis, of Sacramento, CA passed away December 23, 2023.

He was born March 14, 1953 in Rancho Cordova, Ca. to John and Thelma Davis. He attended and graduated from Cordova High school. He was a retired union carpenter and a member of Carpenters Local Union #46 for over 30 years.

Robert was a passionate hunter and fisherman, often making his own equipment. He loved cooking and would have a fish fry every other day if he could. He enjoyed watching football, golf , NASCAR and whatever the latest movie that was out. Once he learned how to work FaceTime on his phone or iPad he would hold numerous LOUD conversations with whoever answered the call. He would also break out into spontaneous songs and hum any part he didn’t know until he knew the words. Above all else in this world, Robert loved and cherished his family and friends. If you allowed him access, he would monitor your whereabouts on Friend finder in case anyone needed help.

The family would like to thank the Davita Dialysis on Florin Road for the care of Robert for the past nine and half years. The family would also like to thank the South Sacramento 3rd floor ICU care team at Kaiser for their care and support during Robert’s final days.

Robert is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vivian. His daughter, Margaret (Patrick), son Robert and five grandchildren; Brandi, Samara, Noah, Logan and Jesse. He is also survived by his sisters Edna (Harold) and Jonda and his brother Joseph (Sondra), numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Services start at 2pm and will be held at:

Olympia Commons MHP Clubhouse
7461 Gerber Road
Sacramento, CA 95828

Mark Tingley I was sad to hear of Bob's passing. I had planned to go visit him in the hospital but didn't make it. Big Bob was always fun to talk with about just about anything. We were able to go hunting and shooting several times back in the day and he also helped me with a remodel. He will definitely be missed

Elden Strand Bob was one of the finest people I ever knew. We had been friends for almost 50 years, and he was always there for me whenever I needed help. His knowledge of the trades, weapons and most anything else was useful and he was always accurate. Bob took care of his family always and would back them up irregardless of danger or cost. I will miss my friend and someday we will see each other in the next life.
