Jose Luis Contreras, age 47, also known as Joey, of San Francisco, California, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
Joey was born on August 27, 1976, in New Braunfels, Texas, and was the son of Francisco Contreras Jr. and Guadalupe Corona. He attended Navarro High School, where he played football. Joey is survived by his father, Francisco Contreras (Tammy) of Seguin, TX, and his mother, Guadalupe Corona of Austin, TX; his sisters, Cris Contreras (Vinessa) and Sonia Marie Contreras; his brother, Frank Contreras III; and several nieces and nephews.
Joey had a contagious smile that lit up every room he walked into. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who was always there for his family whenever they needed his advice or to talk. He had a wide circle of friends and was well-loved by his family.
Joey will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Celebration of life will at a later date.
