Elizabeth-Betty- (Koziolek) Gavle of Albert Lea MN, passed away Friday May 10, 2024

 

Betty was born on December 29 1937 in in Wells MN, daughter of Stanley & Agnes (Klocek) Koziolek.  

She attended and graduated school from New Richland Highschool. She was united in marriage with Lloyd Gavle on January 29, 1969 at Morristown MN.

Betty was a member of St. Theodore’s Catholic Church, Tops and WeightWatchers Club.

She was a home-maker and great at cooking: pies, hot dishes, soups, of course her famous popcorn balls ( kids always loved them) and anything that she would jot down from Party Line.

She worked at Thorne Crest for many year, where she received Employee of the Month Awards.

She loved helping kids while working at Halvorsen School as the lunch aid. 

Fishing was another one of her passions as she would often get a big catch.

She has touched many people’s lives with her kindness and generosity, she will be greatly missed by her son Gary and many others. 

 She is survived by her son: Gary Koziolek; sister: Lorraine Wallace and many nieces and nephews.

 She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband Lloyd, brothers Marvin Koziolek and James Koziolek.

 Visitation will be at 10:00 am one hour prior to the memorial service.

The service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday May 23, 2024 

Assemblies of God Church, 

1540 S Shore Dr, 

Albert Lea MN 56007, officiated by Pastor Ryan Quigley.

A light lunch will be served after service.

 

In leu of flowers the family is accepting donations to help cover end-of-life expenses.
