Merle Raymond Foster, 98, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at NorthCare Hospice. Merle was born in Lowry City, MO on February 28, 1923 to Michael Dull and Pearl Alma (Randall) Foster.
Merle was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during WWII.
Merle spent the majority of his working career as a Supervisor for General Motors in Kansas City, MO. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf and keeping a well-manicured lawn. He will be greatly missed by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Eva A. Kinyon and a brother, Herschel E. Foster. Merle is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Kathryn Foster; four step-children: Allen B. Jetmore and wife, Sherry; Kathleen Conard and husband, Mark; Melissa “Missy” Bonwit and husband, Bill and Kimberly Jetmore; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Darlene Savage and husband, Marvin; four nephews; one great-nephew and seven great-nieces.
The family has honored Merle’s wishes of cremation with no formal services held. A private family Committal Service will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Parkville, MO. Memories of Merle and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com
